French Undergraduate Program: Minor or Major?
The French minor program requires the completion of the lower division preparation courses (French 1-6, French 26) and a total of 20 UD units in French (5 courses, including four courses taught in French).

The French major program has been recently modified to give students a well-rounded introduction to the diversity of approaches within our department, at the same time allowing each student to develop a more focused program of study. Course offerings in linguistics, literature and cultural studies, from the Middle Ages to the present, provide our students with a wide range of options.
