The Undergraduate Colloquium

The Bi-Annual Student Colloquium
in French and Francophone Studies

The goal of the bi-annual Student Colloquium in French and Francophone Studies is to support and promote high-quality undergraduate student research. Our Department of French and Italian believes that faculty members enhance their teaching and contribution to society by remaining active in research and by involving undergraduates in their research.
With the objective of fostering student-faculty collaborative research and scholarship, our colloquium
brings together outstanding seniors majoring in French and Francophone Studies and our UCSB team of faculty and graduate students.
In addition, the Student Colloquium is an excellent preparation for Graduate Studies. It helps students interested in taking the next step in their education to meet with a dynamic team of researchers who can help them focus on French and Francophone Studies.

Our next colloquium will take place in November 2006.

Call for papers will be available in spring 2006.
