Call for Papers for the

7th Annual UC Irvine-UC Santa Barbara
Graduate Student Conference
in French and Francophone Studies

May 12-14, 2006

Location:  University of California at Santa Barbara

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Margaret Cohen, Andrew B. Hammond Professor of French Language, Literature and Civilization; and Director of the Center for the Study of the Novel, at Stanford University

 

Now accepting abstracts in English or in French for our annual Graduate Student Conference. The theme is open to all periods and aspects of literature in France and the French-speaking world, thought and the history of ideas, cultural studies, film, and critical theory. Graduate students enrolled in MA/Ph.D. programs are encouraged to submit.

 

Send abstracts of 200 words maximum, followed by a bibliography of primary and critical sources (as in-line text or attachment), & abridged curriculum vitae to:

Please use "Grad Student Conference" as subject line of email.

Participants will be notified via email by April 15, 2006.

Paper presentations should not exceed 20 minutes. Proposals for panels are welcome.
