Italia nel mondo

Active and enthusiastic class participation is essential to the success of this course and students will be expected to arrive well-prepared and ready to address the material under discussion.

Class meetings :

TR 9:30-10:45

This conversation class will allow students to explore and discuss topics relating to Italy 's position in the modern world. We will discuss a variety of issues ranging from modern political practices and structures in Italy to Italian attitudes to current world events, from the changing face of modern Italy as a new immigrant nation to the persistence of traditional social values, from the role of popular youth culture to the current position of literature and cinema.
