FRENCH 182 Literary Translation: Theory and Practice This course will be organized as a workshop where, on the one hand, we will explore the various theories of translation (Benjamin, Steiner, Derrida...) as well as some of the practical guides available and, on the other, we will translate together literary works from English to French and French to English. This class satisifes areas A, B2 and B3 of the French major.
