French 1 is the first quarter of the three-quarter Beginning French series intended for those who have had no previous instruction in the language. Because instruction is given entirely in French from the very first day using methods that make the language completely comprehensible, easy, and fun, you will make spectacular progress in your ability to speak the language.

Regular – er and - ir ( dormer) verb conjugations
The irregular verbs être, avoir, faire, aller, devoir, pouvoir, vouloir
Pronominal verbs
Gender of nouns and adjectives and noun/adjective agreements
Possessive adjectives
Simple negations
Simple question forms
The imperative
Comparative and superlative structures
Course work includes regular workbook exercises and language lab, 5 quizzes, 4 short compositions, 1 midterm, and 1 final.
